Who are We?

Hello! We moved to the Lake District 20 years ago to raise our family in the National Park.

The idea for this business came to Karen after she had spent many years as a scout leader. We wanted to do something fun together, and we had managed to work with one another in the past without it coming to tears.

Rooftents and teardrops give you a chance to experience the great outdoors in a slightly different way to the traditional tent or caravan. A rooftent gives you the chance to feel a bit like a kid in a treehouse, and a teardrop is just .. cute (and a lot warmer than a tent if you want to camp in the winter).

Perhaps you have thought of buying a rooftent or a teardrop but you want to try one out first. Or perhaps you can’t justify the outlay or the storage space for something that you might use once or twice a year, but you would love to give it a go.

Our electric campervan is a modern twist on a beautiful classic. Silent (almost), and emission-free, perhaps she is the past turned into the future of sustainable tourism! In any case, she’s yellow and we love her.
