Hire a Teardrop Caravan

Quick Hitch Camping

Our teardrop caravans (also known as teardrop trailers) are a small and cosy alternative to a conventional caravan. Being far smaller, they are much more suited to towing around narrow country lanes. They also look darn cute.

Your hired teardrop will give you these features…

Teardrops are easy to tow
The teardrops have a mattress supplied
Unhitch and get great views
All season useability

Or scroll down for more information about our teardrop trailer hire.

If you have a particular holiday date in mind, you can use the two date fields below to select your collection date and your return date.

You will then get a list of the teardrops provisionally available for your chosen dates.

You can select a teardrop from the search results to see that teardrop, or you can scroll down to see all our teardrops as well as answers to some common questions about teardrop trailers.

How do I collect my Teardrop Caravan?

We are based in Hawkshead village in the heart of the Lake District National Park. Bring your own car and we will fit the teardrop for you. When your holiday is over, we’ll handle unhitching it from your car.

The standard collection time is between 15:45 and 18:00 on the first day of your hire. Want to collect earlier? We can offer collection between 09:00 and 12:00 for a small extra fee.

The standard return time is between 09:00 and 12:00 on the last day of your hire. Want to return later? We can offer return between 15:45 and 18:00 for a small extra fee. We find this option is especially useful for people who are touring farther afield and who do not want to rush back for the morning return time.

Easy Towing

As they are narrower in body than any modern car, most cars will not need to use extended wing mirrors when towing one of our teardrops.

They are also far lighter than a full-size caravan, making them much easier to tow. On a firm level site, a teardtop can be repositioned by hand without the need to hitch up & tow.

Not got a towbar? Not coming by car?

We can provide an extra service for you if you don’t want to tow the teardrop.

For a small fee to cover our costs, we are happy to deliver the teardrop caravan to a local campsite. You book the campsite and we’ll deliver it for you. When your holiday is over, just leave the teardrop on the campsite and we’ll collect it.
